Look, Potomac is gorgeous, but let’s be real: your options for a swanky overnight used to be a friend’s guest room or a very long Uber home. Not anymore.

The local landscape now runs from a campus-style conference center where the buffet is legitimately delicious to a Bethesda-adjacent high-rise where the evening reception makes you feel like a regular at a private club. The Bolger Center’s modern rooms are a genuine shock to the system after years of suburban beige.

So, whether you’re dodging your in-laws or just need a silent night with room service, here’s where to crash.

William F. Bolger Center

William F. Bolger Center
Highlights
Impeccably kind, professional staff
Fully renovated, modern rooms
Gorgeous campus for strolls
Delicious food throughout stay
Ideal for retreats and conferences

Look, I’m not saying you should book a conference just to stay at the William F. Bolger Center, but I’m also not saying you shouldn’t. The staff is so impeccably kind you’ll wonder if you accidentally wandered into a parallel universe where customer service still exists. And the rooms? Fully renovated, modern, and blessedly free of that sad, floral bedspread smell. You’ll find yourself taking a stroll around the gorgeous campus and pretending you’re in a movie montage. The food is delicious, too, which is a miracle for retreat food. Honestly, this place is ideal for retreats and conferences, but you might just sneak in for a weekend and claim you’re ‘strategizing.’ No judgment.
